Job Description

DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:
Primary responsibilities include support leading the public relations strategy, development and managing the execution of annual brand PR plans for sparkling and still brands, with a particular emphasis on Coca-Cola trademark.  This position also will be involved in the public relations strategy, development and managing the execution of PR plans connected to new innovations, customer partnerships, business performance.  Included in this is how to leverage marketing, our System, and partners to generate positive news for the Brands and the Business in order to support overall business growth goals.  

  1. Write short and/or long-term business/brand PR plans that support overall brand business objectives, strategies and key initiatives. Leverage insights collected from situation assessment, marketplace information, etc. in order to create 360° communication plans that deliver relevant messages to all internal and external audiences.
  2. Interact with Marketing, CCBPI and Foundation organizations in order to influence/integrate external environment landscape lens into their brand, business and philanthropic business plans.  
  3. Create communication plan and various tools (e.g., social media; satellite media tours; press releases; media advisories; webinars; PowerPoint presentations, speeches; etc.) in order to communicate consumer initiatives to business and lifestyle press.
  4. Identify the needs and business objectives of the local business unit in order to provide marketing communications services tailored to meet the BU’s brand and business needs.  Prepare communication materials that can be used for internal and external presentations to Customer Teams; Bottling Partner; BU leadership and stakeholders.
  5. Utilize understanding of consumer insights and worldwide trends in order to identify key issues and challenges that could impact the ability of the Brands to be successful.  Develop proactive plans to mitigate gainst issues.
  6. Develop programs and secure required budget in order to execute brand PR plan.
  7. Work closely with PAC Director to communicate global/national brand PR strategies, initiatives and priorities to system (e.g., Regions, Customer Marketing, Bottlers) in order to ensure system is informed.
  8. Support brand positioning and related objectives (e.g., building brand awareness, improving brand recall scores) by composing and incorporating public relations/media relations goals into the brand plan in order to ensure concept alignment with brand positioning.


COMMUNICATION COMPLEXITIES
This position must work collaboratively with agency partners to develop strategic and communication frameworks, executions and plans.  Position includes significant project management that includes Philippines projects and collaborative efforts with other ASEAN and global markets PR teams.
INNOVATION
This position will be responsible for preparing and distributing written guidelines (e.g., press releases; key message talking points; FAQs; backgrounders, etc.) and reference tools detailing the appropriate "do's and don'ts" in order to gain messaging.

Also must identify new PR (e.g., online pitches; exclusives; media roundtables, etc.) approaches by conducting competitive SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) in order to create a proprietary advantage for The Company in tapping new ways to seed stories and generate more consistent positive buzz.

• PR Operating Strategies: Knowledge of and ability to apply basic PR operating strategies (e.g., media analysis; pitching protocols; social media relations; satellite media tours; radio media tours ) used in the execution of PR plans.

• Public Opinion Polling and Research Application: Ability to leverage research results into actionable public relations communications initiatives that support Brand and Business objectives.

• Creative Concept Evaluation: Ability to evaluate creative concepts and executions based on creativity, strategic alignment and relevancy to the 360° campaign approach.

• Consumer Focus: Demonstrating understanding of how one's actions and/or work impact the Company's relationship with consumers.

• Creative Brief Development: Knowledge of the creative brief development process.

• PR Innovation: Ability to identify and develop innovative ideas (e.g., social media/digital engagement, mommy blogger as influencer, ) in order to create a proprietary advantage for The Company.

• Thought Generation: Ability to generate new ways of thinking about how we communicate about our brands and our business (e.g., one-on-one’s; stakeholder outreach; speakers’ bureau).
RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years of experience required
  • Previous work experience should include Media Relations; Social Media  Relations; Speech Writing;
  • Must have Strong Writing Capabilities; Strong Presentations Skills.
