How to make NILUPAK na Saba

Celebrity chef Erwan Heussaff posted this dish and it makes me hungry. Nilupak is very popular food after school in the 80's where bananas were always available at our farm, my Lola loves to prepare this for me and she made a very good one.

Sharing you our simple recipe for Nilupak na Saba!

Ingredients:

15 pcs. unripe saba, cooked and pounded
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 coconut, grated
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
margarine or butter

Cooking Instructions:


  • Combine the above ingredients, and pound once more.
  • Mix till well blended.
  • Arrange on a platter and cut into desired shapes.
  • Brush with butter of margarine before serving
